Lucas Chaston

Lucas is Para Bellum’s head coach for both Krav Maga and kids Martial Arts, and the co-head coach of boxing. Lucas began training in martial arts at the age of 3 under his first karate Sensei, Ed Wood, and was awarded his Jr. karate black belt at the age of 10, which is the youngest ever under Sensei Ed. At 13, Lucas earned his first adult black belt in Karate, and was subsequently awarded his second degree black belt.

Recognizing that while traditional martial arts are an excellent activity for fitness and discipline, they are lacking in reality-based self defense, Lucas began training in the Israeli self defense system of Krav Maga. He became a black belt and certified instructor in Krav Maga in 2009.

Lucas has used his extensive martial arts and self defense knowledge to teach many security professionals including police, security, corrections officers and military personnel, as well as coaching and training regularly with professional and amateur fighters.

In addition to teaching martial arts, Lucas has worked in the security field for over 5 years, testing his techniques in reality, including weapons and multiple attackers. Not content to rest on his laurels, Lucas has continued to improve himself both as a fighter and as an instructor.
